Have you ever felt stuck in a cycle of financial frustration, unable to break free and manifest the abundance you desire? Many of us struggle with emotions and limiting beliefs that surround money. But what if I told you there’s a simple, yet profoundly transformative practice that can help you break through those blocks?
Enter the Four Squares exercise – a powerful tool that I was first introduced to by the incredible Annie Botticelli during the COVID-19 lockdown. Originating from the book “The Marriage of Spirit: Enlightened Living in Today’s World” by Leslie Temple Thurston and Brad Laughlin, this practice has become an integral part of my own money manifestation journey.
So, what exactly are the Four Squares? Imagine a simple grid, divided into four quadrants. We will explore the different desires and fears that shape our relationship with money:
- Desire to Have More Money This square represents our longing for financial abundance – whether it’s the dream of exotic holidays, a beautiful home, or the ability to invest in personal growth. It’s the side of us that craves prosperity and all the possibilities it can unlock.
- Fear of Having More Money Surprisingly, many of us also harbour deep-seated fears about what more money could bring. Will it mean working longer hours? Will it complicate our lives? This square explores the resistance that can hold us back from truly embracing abundance.
- Desire to Stay in the Same Financial Circumstance Even when we’re not entirely satisfied with our financial situation, there’s a part of us that seeks comfort in the familiar. This square represents our desire for stability, even if it means settling for less than we truly desire.
- Fear of Staying in the Same Circumstance On the flip side, we may also fear the consequences of remaining in our current financial reality. Will we miss out on our dreams? What about the impact we can have in this world? This square is where we confront the pain of inaction.
With honesty and compassion dive into each square and take your time. Once we’ve brought these identities the surface, we can begin the process of clearing and balancing the “infinity loop” that keeps us trapped in this cycle.
As I’ve personally experienced, the power of this practice lies in shifting energy and perspective. By acknowledging our desires and fears, we start to release limiting beliefs. Now we are on the path to manifest wealth and prosperity.
So, if you’re ready to unlock your financial abundance and step into your true potential, I invite you to try the Four Squares exercise. With an open heart, you just might be amazed by the shifts that begin to unfold in your life.
Remember, the benevolent universe is always waiting to support us on our journey. All we need to do is show up, do the work, and trust in the grace that will follow.
